With so much to see and do in this beautiful part of the world, one visit is never enough!

Remaining on the Northumbrian side of the Border, a short drive south on the A1, takes you to the stunning Holy Island of LINDISFARNE, cut off twice daily by the tide and famed for being one of the most important centres of early English Christianity.  Continue south on the Coastal Route to the popular seaside villages of BAMBURGH, famed for its magnificent Castle, featured in many films; SEAHOUSES with daily boat trips out to the Farne Islands, a bird spotter's haven; CRASTER and its delicious smoked kippers; and on to the pretty village of ALNMOUTH.  Head inland to ALNWICK, with its magnificent Castle, home to Harry Potter and the superb Alnwick Gardens; Cragside at ROTHBURY, the first house in the world to be powered by hydro electric and on to WOOLER, with its recently opened Whisky Distillery, Ad Gefrin, nestled in the foothills of the magnificent Cheviot Hills.
Head north over the border into Berwickshire, the most easterly part of the Scottish Borders and you'll be astounded by the diversity of spectacular countryside, ranging from steep craggy coves up the stunning East Coast at the pretty fishing towns and villages of EYEMOUTH, COLDINGHAM and ST ABBS with boat trips and breathtaking coastal walks ... to rolling moorland over the Lammermuir Hills ... and on to the pretty Border towns of DUNS, KELSO, MELROSE, JEDBURGH and SELKIRK, with their Castles, Stately Homes and ancient Abbeys.
